{"id":287,"date":"2025-05-09T07:25:42","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T07:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nof.dnac.org\/2025\/?page_id=287"},"modified":"2025-07-11T14:53:45","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T14:53:45","slug":"workshop","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/nof.dnac.org\/2025\/workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Next-GenVC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Next-Gen Vehicular Communications: From V2X to 5G and Beyond<\/mark> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">(Next-GenVC 2025)<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The rapid evolution of vehicular communication technologies, referred to as V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything), is playing a crucial role in enabling intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and autonomous driving. While current V2X systems based on 5G already support advanced connectivity and mobility services through ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) and massive connectivity, the advent of beyond 5G promises a paradigm shift. With features such as integrated sensing and communication, AI-native networking, and non-terrestrial network (NTN) support, 5G and beyond are expected to significantly enhance the capabilities of future vehicular networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore the transition from current V2X systems to next-generation vehicular communications in the 5G and beyond era. We welcome innovative research contributions addressing technical, architectural, and societal challenges related to the design, deployment, and optimization of future V2X-enabled transportation systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite original research contributions on (but not limited to) the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5G and 6G-enabled V2X networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edge and cloud computing for V2X applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI\/ML-driven optimization for V2X networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resource allocation and management for vehicular networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicular edge and cloud computing for low-latency services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Network slicing and orchestration in V2X environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital twins for vehicular networks and intelligent transportation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security, trust, and privacy in 6G-enabled vehicular systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Satellite and HAPS integration for global V2X coverage (NTN-V2X)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cross-layer design and optimization for vehicular communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experimental platforms, testbeds, and real-world deployments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>QoS and QoE for multimedia and critical applications in vehicular networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>V2X applications in smart cities and connected autonomous vehicles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Submissions <\/mark><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors&nbsp;are invited&nbsp;to submit&nbsp;original contributions that&nbsp;have not been published or submitted&nbsp;for publication&nbsp;elsewhere. Papers should be prepared using the&nbsp;IEEE 2-column&nbsp;conference style and&nbsp;are limited to 8 pages including references (Regular papers)&nbsp;or 5 pages including references (Short papers).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They must be submitted electronically in PDF format through EDAS at: <a href=\"https:\/\/edas.info\/N33941\">https:\/\/edas.info\/N33941<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Papers exceeding&nbsp;page limits, multiple submissions, and self-plagiarized papers will be rejected without further review.
